My 5-year old daughter (in Kindergarten) loves to jot down. It's a local that her instructor really motivates her to work on. We notion a enjoyable journal could be the best solution instead of boring writing paper. She was very excited to obtain this journal and LOVED decorating it. Unfortunately, several of the jewels have fallen off (5 or 6 so far... had it about 2 weeks), but they did ship additional with the package, so we just maintain changing them.

She loves to write down in her different "bling" journal that she embellished. So, general, I think it used to be totally price it. Oh, and it comes with a pen that has like 12 completely different colors of ink... it is a excellent complement and he or she loves it.
